Free visual inspection and a written scope of work before any mitigation begins - photos, moisture readings, and drying logs go in your claim file
The scope we write is the scope we bill. Anything new gets shown to you, in writing, before we touch it.
Meet the Coronado Team Behind DryMark Restoration Coronado
We’re the crew that shows up when water’s still moving through your walls or when a mold test came back with numbers nobody wanted to see. Every technician on this page is background-checked, uniformed, and licensed before they set foot in a Coronado home. What ties us together isn’t a handbook. It’s The Haven Standard, and the fact that Alicia Brennan still reviews every job file personally before it goes to your adjuster.
Our People
Alicia Brennan, Owner
I started DryMark Restoration Coronado in 2011 after six years as a claims adjuster, and I built this company around one problem: homeowners losing valid claims because the restoration company didn’t document properly. I’ve seen drier walls in an active rainstorm than in some so-called “finished” remediation jobs, and I mean that as a data point, not a punchline. I still review moisture logs and photo records before they go to insurance, and I sign every 365-Day Done Right Promise myself. When I’m not on a job site in Coronado, I’m usually arguing with an adjuster about vapor pressure differential readings they don’t want to understand.
Marcus T., Lead Water Technician
Marcus has been drying structures for fourteen years, and he still carries a notebook where he sketches moisture migration patterns freehand. He’s IICRC-certified in Water Damage Restoration (WRT) and Applied Structural Drying (ASD), with additional certification in thermography. His specialty is tracking hidden water in Coronado’s older Spanish Revival and mid-century slab homes, where water follows paths that don’t match the floor plan. Off the job, he restores vintage motorcycles and applies the same documentation habit: every part photographed before, during, and after. He’ll tell you a 1962 Triumph and a flooded crawl space have more in common than you’d think.
Elena R., Senior Mold Remediation Installer
Elena joined us in 2019 after running her own abatement crew in Riverside County, and she brought a stubborn habit we immediately adopted: she won’t sign off on a containment until she’s pressure-tested it with a smoke pencil. She’s certified in Mold Remediation (AMRT) through IICRC and holds RIA’s Certified Restorer credential. Her human detail is that she speaks to homeowners in the same voice she uses with her own mother, who lives in a 1947 cottage near the Coronado ferry landing and once had a “remediator” who left active growth behind a bathroom vanity. Elena found it in fifteen minutes with a borescope. She still checks that vanity when she visits.
David K., Service Coordinator
David is the voice you get when you call (619) 649-7428 at 2:00 a.m. and water is coming through your ceiling. He’s been with DryMark Restoration Coronado since 2017, and he’s dispatched crews to every neighborhood from the Coronado Cays to the Village, including three separate calls during the same January storm in 2024. He holds no field certifications by choice, he’s the one who makes sure your written scope matches what the technician found, that your photo record uploads before the crew leaves, and that your adjuster has direct contact information for whoever is running your job. He keeps a printed map of Coronado’s flood-prone intersections taped to his monitor, updated with Sharpie notes from every storm season.
Jin W., Restoration Apprentice
Jin started with us in 2023 after completing a construction technology program at San Diego City College, and he’s currently working toward his WRT certification while shadowing Marcus on water losses and Elena on mold jobs. His current responsibility is running the daily moisture logs, which means he’s the one documenting psychrometric data, vapor pressure differential, and tertiary drying progress in language that insurance adjusters can follow without calling back confused. He grew up in a family that ran a dry cleaning business in National City, so he understood vapor pressure before he knew the term. He asks more questions than any apprentice we’ve had, and he writes the answers down.
One Standard, Every Job

The Haven Standard travels with our crew, not above them. Clause 1 means Jin learns to deliver a written price before work starts by watching Marcus do it on a flooded kitchen in the Cays, then doing it himself while David reviews the paperwork. Clause 2, our documented photo record, is Elena’s standard on mold jobs because she saw what happens when documentation fails. The 365-Day Done Right Promise isn’t a poster in our office; it’s a signed guarantee Alicia attaches to every job file, and she keeps copies in a fireproof cabinet that predates our current building. Across the network, every independently owned and operated location works from the same clauses, but this Coronado crew is who you’ll actually see in your home, and these are the names that go on your paperwork.
